IHEAT - The Integrated Hydro-Ecological Assessment Tool (iHEAT) has been developed to provide a structured method for understanding and framing the analysis of water related issues with respect to hydrologic, socio-economic, and ecological systems as well as testing the sustainability of proposed water management decisions in river basins.

Using the Integrated Hydro-Ecological Assessment Tool (iHEAT), conceptually framed how water use and freshwater ecosystems effect the hydrologic, socio-economic, and ecological systems in the Lower Boise River Basin.  These qualitative results showed how the systems will change given increasing population growth and landuse change.  Based on these findings analyses, will be conducted and the basin will be evaluated for the resilience, reliability, and vulnerability of the systems with respect to water management. WEFsat - With the IISD, CCI co-developed the Water, Energy and Food security analysis tool for mining (WEFsat-Mining); a framework to help identify the potential benefits and impacts of mining on community-level water, energy and food (WEF) security to find the most effective ways of managing across these interlinked sectors. Users of the tool can explore specific actions for realizing benefits and mitigating actions as well as select and develop indicators for tracking the status of WEF security and the progress of critical actions. Users familiar with environmental and social impact assessment methods will find WEFsat-Mining intuitive and a welcome addition to their toolkit for understanding key relationships in achieving sustainable development.
